Hello hello. At this time of year I’m quite often at Glastonbury and even managed to play there last year, but alas no golden ticket for me this time. Hope to be back on the farm in 2024!

You Control Me

There’s still time to tell me what you’d like me to edit next! But in the meantime, here’s something brand new and free for you to get your ears around. It’s a beefed up version of Linda Evans’ magical tune You Control Me. Kon did a great version of this a while back, but mine uses more of the original, speeds things up, moves some stuff around and has completely new percussion to give it a bit of oomph. As always it’ll cost you nothing to grab yourself a copy, so go go go!

Hot Digits Year 9

One of the highlights of the disco calendar has come around again - Fingerman’s annual Hot Digits compilation. For the third time in a row I’ve managed to get myself on there, and my track is a slow chugger with a little bit of attitude. There’s loads of talent on there from friends, legends and newcomers alike, and at the time of writing this it’s sitting pretty at number 1 in Junodownload’s album chart! The standard is particularly high this year - take a listen to hear what I mean…

Funkier Radio with two hours of me!

For this one I decided to mix things up a bit, indulge myself and do the whole two hours myself! So we went on a little journey, some moody slow mo, hip hop, funk and soul, into some boogie, a bit of a jazzy section the building up into some housier territory to finish on a couple of bangers. Funkadelic Sessions livestream

This Sunday I’m excited to be involved with a monthly livestream event called Funkadelic Sessions. I’ll be bringing 90 minutes of my funkiest selections alongside a few other great DJs, and I’d love if you could join in the fun. I’ll be doing my thing from 6:30pm UK time, tune into their Mixcloud or Twitch channels to watch!

Gem of the Week

Well well, another track with a juicy bassline - Take Me Up by Matrix, from back in 1982. A bit like the last gem I featured by the Undisputed Truth, this one is totally led by the massive, fat synth bass… then all the other bits fall into place around it. It’s a really fun slice of maximum boogie funk!
